M1 Swimming Club
The following information outlines how Tateswim squad members can join M1 Swimming Club and participate in competitions.

Club membership has the following benefits:
allows swimmers to participate in competitions (Swimming Victoria requires swimmers to join a club to enter competitions)
being part of a team
provides a goal for swimmers to train for
Junior swimmers can aim to achieve standards in Swimming Australia’s Junior Excellence Program

Swimmers in the following squads can join:
Dolphins
Sprinters
Development
Youth
Open
Competition
Performance
Swimmers who have trained in Junior 1 for at least three months may be ready to join - please check before joining.

Swimmers may join at any time.
The season starts in July each year, so we usually recommend joining in July/August to get the best value from the annual club membership.

Competitive swimmers typically attend a swim meet 2-3 times per term. Most swim meets run for about 3-4 hours and are held on a Saturday or Sunday (morning or afternoon).
