Competition Squad
Competition Squad is suited to committed swimmers aged approximately 13–17 who are focused on progressing toward state-level competition. Training emphasises advanced technique, race skills, consistency, and strong work habits, building both the physical and mental foundations needed for success at higher levels of the sport.
The squad prepares athletes for the demands of the Performance Squad, fostering a motivated, team-oriented environment where swimmers can continue to develop and excel.

Swimmers must bring the following to each class:

kick board
pull buoy
snorkel
paddles

Requirements
To train with this squad, swimmers are required to:
Satisfy the head coach that you are suitable
Attend four or more classes per week
Have achieved Junior Excellence and/or State level qualifying times.
Be a registered competitive member of M1 Swimming Club and compete at selected competitions
Represent the club at Victorian Championships meets (individual/relay events)

Swimmers may attend any/all of the following classes:
Monday 5.00-6.30pm MARC
Tuesday 5.00-6.30pm MARC
Wednesday 5.45-7.15am Huntingtower
Thursday 5.00-6.30pm MARC
Friday 5.45-7.15am Huntingtower

Pathways
Advanced competitive swimmers may progress to our Performance Squad. Swimmers who are unable to maintain the requirements of the Competition Squad have the option to move to our Open Squad.
