MARC Entry pass information

Swimmers in the Sprinters, Open, Competition, Performance and Masters Squads require an entry pass to access the Monash Aquatic and Recreation Centre (MARC).

Entry passes allow swimmers to enter the aquatic facilities at class times and also after 4pm everyday (Monday to Sunday).

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to join M1?
The 2024-25 Season membership fees are:

Competitive swimmer - $190
Social - $21
Parent/dry - $15

The membership applies from July to June (in line with the financial year).

Why is it necessary to join M1 Swimming Club?

At the MARC, Tateswim works in partnership with M1, managing the program and the coaching. M1 has an agreement with Active Monash that swimmers need to be an M1 member in order to apply for an access pass. Swimmers who choose not to join M1 will be required to pay pool entry.

Can I enter the pool outside of class times?

Yes. Swimmers can enjoy the aquatic areas from 4pm until close everyday (Monday to Sunday) and some mornings when classes are held. This access is available all year, including during school holidays and periods when there are no classes.

If swimmers have a class on, they are expected to be in their class and not swimming in the public lanes during their class time.

Why does a parent need to join if the swimmer is under 18?

It is requirement for all swimming clubs in Victoria that a parent/guardian join if they have a child member aged under 18.

What happens to my entry pass when I cancel my squad enrolment?

When a swimmer discontinues their enrolment, their entry pass will be cancelled.
